Frequently Asked Questions
A few things you might want to know before getting started, including fees, insurance, consultations, and online sessions in Georgia and South Carolina.
You can schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to tell me a little about what you're looking for, ask questions, and get a sense of how I work. It's an opportunity for both of us to consider whether working together feels like a good fit before scheduling your first session.
Whatever feels important to you. I work with teens and women navigating anxiety, overthinking, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and pregnancy and postpartum. You don't need a clear idea of what you want to work on before reaching out. We can start with what's on your mind.
What happens during the first therapy session? Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your experiences, relationships, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable.
How does therapy work with teens?I want therapy to feel like a space your teen can make their own. I also recognize the important role parents and caregivers play, so we'll talk together about how communication and involvement will work while respecting your teen's privacy and the limits of confidentiality.
How much does therapy cost?Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes and $160 per session. The initial 15 minute phone consultation is free.
Do you accept insurance? If your insurance plan includes out of network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement. I partner with Mentaya to help you check your benefits and simplify the reimbursement process.
